Definition: Nanotechnology existing in living systems and resulting from our ability to use biomolecules as components for molecular nanotechnology.
Nanotechnology is abundant in nature in the form of biological systems; thus, nanoscientists have a wide variety of components and techniques already available. Biomolecular nanotechnology seeks to use biomolecules, biomolecular self-assembly & biomineralization to develop nanotechnology.
