Proteomics - the study of the proteome, a term coined to parallel genome (compare genomics). The proteome is thus the totality of proteins in an organism. The ways proteins fold up (as opposed to just the sequence of amino acids of which they are composed) is a critical determinant of their behaviour and very hard to model - current attempts use supercomputers and distributed computing (as screen savers)."
